Getting Here
- By Car: Access via the A27 and A3(M), then take the bridge onto Hayling Island. The property is located on the southern coast.
- By Train: The nearest station is Havant, on the mainland just north of the bridge, with direct services from London Waterloo. Havant to Sandy Point is roughly six to seven miles by road.
- By Air: Southampton Airport is the closest, with Gatwick a longer drive east along the A27/M23.

How many guests can Wittering Sands sleep?
The house sleeps up to nine guests across four bedrooms and five beds, with 3.5 bathrooms, three of them ensuite. Nine is the maximum, including children, and it is let on an exclusive-use, whole-house basis.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome, with no extra pet fee. We ask that they are kept off the beds and sofas, and there is a boot brush by the back door for sandy paws after beach walks.
Are babies and children welcome?
Yes. Children of all ages are welcome, babies and toddlers included. A travel cot and highchair are available on request, so just ask when you book. The garden is unfenced, so please keep an eye on little ones outside.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am. Earlier arrival or later departure is only possible if agreed with us in advance, depending on the bookings either side.
What is the minimum stay?
The minimum stay is 2 nights, and some dates may require longer; the booking calendar shows the minimum for your dates. Bookings need at least 48 hours' notice, and we do not take one-night stays.
Can we smoke or hold a party at the house?
No. The house is no smoking, and we do not allow parties or events. A family stay to mark a birthday or anniversary is very welcome.
Is the garden enclosed?
The garden is private but unfenced and opens toward the shoreline, so children and dogs must be supervised.
